London City YDN Business Show brought to you by The Guild of Entrepreneurs

This weekly two hour show will be hosted by Barnaby Wynter and a co-host and will blend three core values: Energise; Educate; Entertain - three things that have characterised his professional speaking career over the last eight years as a Disruptive Marketing Speaker.

Barnaby will bring his business acumen, learnt since he embarked on a marketing career in 1986, working in advertising and then moving into integrated marketing communications in 1996. At the age of 36 he became the youngest MD of a top 200 Integrated Ad Agency in 1999. He purchased that agency in 2001 and as a result of the events in September that year, was forced to re-evaluate the way marketing worked for the new generation of businesses that followed.

Over the next seven years he was responsible for launching over 130 new business concepts, advising on the boards of 37 of them. In addition he launched some 300 products and services over that time across almost every business sector imaginable including finance; charity; sport; property; IT; telecoms; health; FMCG consumer; international; oil and gas; retail online and off-line; utilities; automotive; technology; accountancy and law.

During this period it became apparent that no matter what the business, the challenges of running those businesses was always broadly the same.

Barnaby is one of those rarities whereby, on the advice of a mentor at the beginning of his career, he followed a generalist approach to his marketing portfolio.

Today he brings this holistic view of the way business works to audiences all over the world including in recent years: IRAN, Switzerland, Australia and regularly across the whole UK. He works directly with up to 5 corporates per year to embed a proven formula for marketing success. In addition he is Dean of The Brand Bucket® Marketing Academy, part of www.WorldAcademy.tv and runs successful training programs for young business start-ups.

Barnaby is currently joint regional president of the Professional Speaking Association in the South East and is a Founding Freeman of The Guild of Entrepreneurs.

He is married to a Medical Director who works at one of the U.K.’s largest out of hours social enterprises and is father to 3 daughters. He lives in Kent and can be found ambling among the crowd at Stamford Bridge every other Saturday.

An avid published writer and traveller his mission is to bring marketing led thinking to every business in the world.

Your Digital Network London City YDN is now very much part of that mission. But we are not talking about broadcasting opinion or experience, the Internet does that perfectly well now, we are talking about inspiring a digital generation through live interaction on a scale that can affect many rather than just one to one. What better way than to use radio as the catalyst for a community of like-minded people to share, challenge, learn, contribute and come together to work towards a common goal for bringing their own personal missions to life.

Done in isolation, hours of creativity can be simply wasted for the simple reason we do not know what we do not know.

The role of the London City YDN Business Show is to create a community where you have permission to admit you don’t know what you don’t know, a community where you can discover all that you don’t know and then get those all-important answers to enable you to run a business and even earn a good living whilst at the same time giving you the time and freedom to follow your passion.

Now ideally your business is your passion but this is a rarity. There are many poor actors, artists, musicians, inventors, speakers, fashion designers, arts and crafts people and yet these are the very essence of what makes us human. Our ability to challenge and reconfigure our environment is precisely why the human race has been so successful. Yet westernised commercialism has created a 1% culture which is protectionist, systemised and resists creativity. The Internet has given us freedom of expression unlike any other time in history but as we have all experienced at some time this freedom is not always good for us.

We need to blend the rules of commercialism without destroying the freedom of creativity.

Your host is privileged. Running an integrated advertising agency for the last 15 years now has provided an insight into exactly the challenge described above, facing it every moment of every day:- how to blend the freedom of thinking that constitutes the creative department where thousands of ideas happen with the hard realities of being a client in manufacturing, technology, cause related not-for-profit charity or a firm of lawyers or accountants.

The successful outcomes of this still speak for themselves around us all every day from Fiat; Ford; Unilever; Argos; Toshiba; Sunday Express; Deutsche Post; E*Trade; Classic FM; Marie Curie Cancer Care; Recruitment Genius; Decathlon;
The Children’s Society among many many others.

The insights of working across all these many businesses are now being applied to every business possible, creating a new economy where young people can contribute to a society in which they can thrive, not one where only the 1% thrive.

This is not the politics of the redistribution of money from the committed to the uncommitted, it is about the distribution of knowledge and expertise in a channelled way that benefits us all, both at an individual level but at a community level too.

London’s remains a beacon for social integration across the globe and the London City YDN Business Show seeks to capitalise on that core competency and bring together a community of like-minded creative business people to energise, educate and entertain, providing a hub for businesses to thrive and improve life for us all.

The core albums, artists, and songs most often represented in classic rock radio represent a subset of the albums and artists that were actually popular between the mid sixties into the early eighties. On radio, the most enduring classic rock songs and artists have proven to appeal to new generations of listeners as well as older listeners who knew the music when it originally appeared.
